Thakur B.D. Sinha Janta College, Akauna, Goh, Aurangabad was established in 1979 by Lt. Thakur Muneshwar Nath Singh (Ex Cabinet Minister, Bihar) in loving memory of his father.

He was a great scholar and visionary thinker. He was famous for having immence interest and adherence to establish new educational institutions in rural, semi-urban and urban areas of Bihar. Several educational institutions were established by him in different areas of Bihar. Lt. Thakur muneshwar Nath Singh was reknowned for expansion and enlightment of education through establishing new institutions to improve literacy in Bihar.

Now this college is being managed efficiently by Narendra Kumar who is carrying forward the idiology and legacy of Lt Thakur Muneshwar Nath Singh. He is constantly engaged in the all round development of the college.
